  • 2* Rider Rating - Centerline Scores
  • 30 years experience in Traning and Teaching and Boarding
  • Starting many young horses, preparing them for National Competitions and Championships, Plus Dressage At Devon

Amy's extensive career began in Eastern Pa, as a working student and farm manager. Amy has experience working in show barns, fox hunting facilities, and with race horses. She has worked for the University of Pennsylvania's, prestigious New Bolton Center. Considered one of the finest Veterinary hospitals in the country, the Center taught Amy to work with young horses and prepare them for their careers as show horses, fox hunters, and race horses.

Amy originally operated Moon Indigo Farm near Pittsburg PA, and has now relocated it near Aiken, SC. Aside from training horses, giving lessons, and taking care of her charges, Amy uses eventing to have some fun, when she is lucky enough to have the right horse to play with her!

Amy also shows horses at Dressage at Devon, in-hand and under saddle. She won in-hand with Benjamin from Wildwind, a Fresian stallion that she started and trained, and placed second in under saddle stallion classes with him.

Amy continues her education with top trainers, by organizing clinics and traveling to Julio Mendoza, Gabriel Armando, FEI-level dressage judge, WEG listed qualifier Lauren Sammis, Silva Martin and Margret Freeman. By expanding her education, she passes this knowledge to her students, so they can grow more confident in their riding.

The farm is located just off Old Barnwell Road in Aiken county.

Anecia, Amy's daughter, started showing at Devon (lead-line) when she was 2 years old. She now rides her pony, Mazur (by Makuba), at training, first level and some eventing. Anecia placed 6th out of 16, at BLM Finals in 2009 Training Level in New Jersey. At the regional championships held in Lexington, Va., Anecia placed 6th out of 24 riders, at First Level. Anecia continued her good riding to place 8th out of 28 riders, at Training Level.

Anecia is still riding Mazur, who is now competing at 3rd level. She and Mazur placed 3rd at BLM's and Regional Championships in 2012. Anecia decided to take it easy her senior year, so she only competed at JR/YR team Championship.

We are proud of Anecia’s accomplishments as many excellent young riders came from up and down the east coast to compete at regionals. Anecia also competed at 2007 BLM and Regional #1 Championship at training level with her old ponly, Mr. Peanut. In the past, she has ridden in the Jr/Yr Rider Team championships at Morven Park, Virginia, plus has gone to New York to compete at Lendon Grey’s Dressage Festival 4 kids. Anecia looks forward to improving her riding and competing with Mazur at First level and eventing.
