Clinics
Gabriel Armando, a well-respected FEI judge, has been teaching and instructing at Moon Indigo Farm since April, 2004. When not traveling the world judging Dressage competitions, he is teaching others the art of Dressage. He visits Moon Indigo Farm every 4-6 weeks from April to October and is always well received.
These clinics often see repeat students inspired by the improvements they see in themselves and their horses. Auditing is free and encouraged for those who wish to attend.
Gabriel is originally from Argentina where he started riding at the age of 8. At 15, after competing successfully in jumping, turn to the dressage and was GP national Champion at the age of 20. By then he was an active international competitor in Chile, Uruguay and Brazil obtaining the silver medal in 1998 in the south American Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Gabriel competed also in the 2003 Pan American Games in Dominican Republic with his horse Euclid.
Gabriel has received instruction of many renowned trainers in this country and finds time to ride with Hans Rueben in Germany every year since 1985. Actually he trains with his wife Suzy Ross. They are based in Ringoes NJ, and in White Fences Fla during the winter. They do periodical trips to Europe to train and buy horses. They both share the passion of training horses and they have students (including professional riders) to GP level . They are both good clinicians and they help their students to break through their difficulties.
Gabriel is also an FEI 'C' judge. He has judged in different countries of the world like Argentina Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, USA, Canada, and Germany. Recently he has been part of the ground jury in the NAYRC, the Central American Games, the South American Games, the Central American and Caribbean Games, and several CDIs.
Gabriel has been our clinician for the last three years. As he says 'I love to have a program, with goals, and riders that are motivated to learn and achieve results. I have seen so much progress in this students that is always a pleasure to come back and discover that the homework has been done conscientiously and correctly'.
'I met Gabriel in the Horse park of NJ in 2003 in a show that he was showing 9 horses at different levels- says Amy Hoffield - I knew he was the person to help us. Since then he has been committed to come and train us every four to six weeks. When Krista Noone from Silver Crest knew that he was coming to the area she and her students also started working with him. We are happy to have him because we learn and have fun and there is always a waiting list. We learn from his dual perspective as an international trainer and judge'.
